What is the difference between an affiliate that is pumping money into PPC campaigns with little return and the Super Affiliate making heaps of cash?
In most cases it is keyword tracking. You can give two people the exact same keywords, adword ads and the same product to promote. One can lose money while the other one turns it into a cash cow.
The key to making a profit in affiliate marketing or any marketing where you use keywords is tracking. If you track at the keyword level you can see just what keywords make you money and what are the losers.
Once you have this information it is just a matter of turning of the losers and then ramping up the winners and you have profits. So often I have heard from the big time players that they are making most of their money just from a few keywords.
Just how do they know this? Tracking is the answer. They might start with thousands of keywords but with tracking and testing they eliminate the losers and stick with the winning keywords.
There are plenty of tracking solutions out there on the market today. Some I have personally used include prosper 202, Affiliates Prophet just to name a few.
