If you search for Formula One Drivers Championship using google you will find that there are around 33 million results. If you were on page one of that page you would think things are good.

The truth is that it is not always a big thing to be on page one for google, even if the search term appears to be competitive. If you do this seach maybe my site http://onemansportsnetwork.com will show in the results.

When I do the search my site is listed at number 9. Pretty good I thought when I first saw that result. Now for the bad news. I checked in the google keyword tool and that search phrase only attracts around 260 searches per month globally.

So there you have it. When targeting a search phrase to go after at least make sure you check the figures in a keyword tool before doing all of you hard work to target the phrase.
