Thought readers of my blog may find it interesting.

3 Reasons Why Mobile Marketing Is Overtaking Internet Marketing?

By Gaurab Borah

There has been a lot of buzz about mobile marketing recently. Mobile marketing is the brand new era of marketing that can put your foot on the path of financial freedom. It is very effective and come in handy while promoting your products. It is a more targeted way of connecting to limitless clients. If you wonder “Is mobile marketing better than internet marketing”. I am afraid to say YES. You are about to find out the exact reasons below:

1. Huge Market and Still Growing

According to the latest stats, there are over 5 billion mobile phone users as compared with just 1.8 billion internet users. More than 51 million mobile users are using smart phones. The yearly apps download to reach 20 billion by 2014. More and more people are buying smart phones every day. These numbers are huge, opportunities are immense and still growing with a high rate every moment.

2. Low Advertising Cost

Internet advertising could be quite expensive. If you do not know how to use Google AdWords properly you could lose millions there. A simple cost per click could be 5$ or more. Meaning unless you have deep pockets to run, test and verify your advertisements you can not sustain for long.

But with mobile web marketing a single cost per click will cost you between 1 cent to 17 cents. You can drive a lot more traffic to you products with the same amount of investment. More traffic means more sales and more money in your pockets.

3. Higher Conversion Rates

When people see you ad on their mobiles, it’s a one page ad only. This ensures that the user have their dedicated attention without any disturbance from splash banner ads or videos etc. You are the only call to action on that page. This works well for you higher conversion rates.

Also many times people tend to ignore advertising emails or skim through your ad without really bothering to click on it. Whereas mobile marketing will assure you that the person had at least read the message before actually deleting it. It could work in your favour.

Mobile marketing is still raw and the hottest new trend in marketing. The market is huge and competition is very low. Doesn’t it sounds like exactly what you need? Start and reap the maximum benefits from mobile web marketing when the time is still correct.

Perhaps over time Mobile Marketing will be no different than Internet Marketing as the two platforms converge. Smartphones are taking people onto the web via the mobile phone and as people adapt to provide better websites for viewing on mobile phones we will all not care which device we are using.

For the past month I have been working on setting up a business to help small businesses get more customers through internet marketing in Canberra.

Part of that involves a directory site for local businesses in Gungahlin. The site is Gungahlin Business Directory dot com dot au.

Tina has been working especially hard the past few days adding listings and photos. I have been working on a few of the feature videos that are published on the site.

As well as the Gungahlin Business Directory site I have created two other sites to provide information about the services I provide. One is Internet Marketing Canberra which as the name suggests is there to provide information and services to Canberra businesses wanting help with their Internet Marketing.

The other site is RPJK Services which provides internet services to anyone, anywhere. We so long as they are english speaking.

Over recent months I have been developing my interest in video. I have always enjoyed editing video but the truth is my videos sucked.

I decided I had enough of that and got into some courses to improve my skills. Now I think I can say that the videos I produce are a much higher standard. Still could be better but it takes time to become really proficient.

Now my focus is helping small businesses grow themselves through video marketing and mobile marketing. On the mobile marketing side I am learning from Dan Hollings. He is the man behind the marketing of “The Secret” movie. That was huge and all came from a low budget strategy.

I could not ask for a better teacher. Dan knows his stuff. I now just need to apply what I am learning. Now I just need some businesses looking to grow.

I am primarily interested in working with Canberra businesses but with the nature of the internet it allows me to help any business anywhere, well almost. English speaking and with an internet connection is probably more accurate.

What can I do for you? That is probably what you may be wondering. The answer is I can help you get ranked on page one for google for your business. Maybe you want to be the celebrity in your field, I can help what that as well.

On top of video promotion methods I can integrate mobile marketing strategies, or just go mobile.

I have recently created a website for my Gungahlin community. Gungahlin Business Directory is the site. You can find businesses in the Gungahlin area or list your own business if you are in Gungahlin.

Visit the site and checkout a sample video I created. It is on the homepage.

Interested in finding out more? Just email me at video@robkeating.com

Main Street Marketing Machines is launching at 12pm PST on April 26th.

Lately you may have heard about Mike Koenigs Main Street Marketing Machines, if not visit his site with this link. This is a product aimed at turning someone who has some knowledge about internet marketing into an expert marketer. Armed with this knowledge they provide marketing services to small businesses.

This is much the same as an earlier product from Kevin Wilke of Nitro Marketing. His program was Local Business Money Machine. I actually purchased this product however it did not give me what I wanted. It was a comprehensive program however did not give me enough confidence to go out to businesses, especially here in Australia.

What was missing from the Local Business Money Machine course was the actual hands on items such as templates to use for customers to create sites and other promotional methods. Also finding clients was not something I had confidence in doing based on what was in the course.

I was also concerned that the Local Business Money Machine product was too US centric. I felt my needs as an Australian were not catered for.

Now looking at what I have seen so far of Mike Koenigs Main Street Marketing Machines product he addressed my main concern in the latest video, “Will it work for someone not in the US?” He said an absolute yes. In some situation it might be even easier to do well with the system when applied outside of the USA.

Also as part of the system are templates galore for setting up sites or creating videos to use in promotions. Biz box pre-made templates makes it so you can concentrate on Marketing you clients businesses rather than worrying about writing articles, setting up sites and other tasks normally required to get things done.

What I also like about Mike’s product is that it uses Mobile Marketing methods. This, if you don’t note its significant s is huge. Using mobile marketing you can offer your client the way to send out messages that say “quiet Tuesday discount available”. If done right this can potentially turn a lousy day into a great one for a small restaurant.

I have to say this product has got me excited. In the past internet products have focused on creating lists, creating your own products or tricking the search engines.

Mike’s product will help you market for real businesses. There are millions out there. Most are so busy just running the business that they don’t know about efficient marketing or even any marketing at all.

The Main Street Marketing Machines system has everything ready to go…

Check it out.

Mike says the system will cost $2,997.00 with a single payment or you can take a six payment option of $547.00. There is a 30 day money back guarantee.

If you think this is a lot of money just think that you could get that much for landing just your first client. Fireman Mike made $5000 but I can’t tell you how much you will make. It is possible that you get this system and make no money at all.

Andy Jenkins has released the first video in his pre-launch series for The Video Boss.

If you don’t know Andy he is the man who has been, as he claims, the man behind the marketing videos produced to promote some huge Internet Marketing launches. The Magic Bullet system is one of the most recent.

Until July 2009 Andy was also one of the partners for Stompernet. He was pretty much the main man, at least in the public eye. Why he left isn’t clear. Perhaps he just wanted a change of scene. It really doesn’t matter to me.

The purpose of his latest training course is to let you know that Video GETS MORE Money than ANYTHING. BTW that is an affiliate link. If you click on it and just happen to buy Andy’s product I will receive a commission, depending on the cookies. If you don’t want to use the affiliate link you can go to thevideoboss.com.

Getting back to the first video you will be amazed by the production quality, well at least I was. It is maybe too good as he is trying to convince people that are too scared to even think about getting into video that this is something we call all do.

As you watch the video keep an eye out for the Disclaimers at the bottom of the page, they are quite amusing.

The point Andy is trying to make is that getting rankings in Google using video is a heck of a lot easier than going the traditional SEO path.

I suggest you take the time and check out the video. This takes you to the Video Boss site. Watch out that is another affiliate link.

I was a member but failed to graduate with a website that made me cash. Too many other distractions came along. Thanks Stephen Pierce.

Getting back to Andy. He is putting out a course that is all about creating killer videos. He knows a bit about this having created many engaging videos over the years.

That is one course I would love to get my hands on as I am sick of making videos that get crap ratings on Youtube, alas it is out of my price range… At least there will be a killer launch that will dish out plenty of good quality free content.

The course at this stage will hit the streets in a couple of weeks. The launch content will be released on 3 February.

Check back here for more details.

Earlier today I was on a live call hosted by Jack Humphrey. From what people say he is a well respected authority on Social Marketing. He his one of the owners of Authority Site Center and he has also published a great guide to Social Marketing. You can pick it up for free at Authority Black Book. I have read this guide and there were a heap of great tips I picked up to use on my sites. Did I mention that it is free?

Getting back to the call. It was promoted as “The Next Great Internet Opportunity” and a call not to be missed. In the call which was also a webinar it would be a pitch free information call that talked about trends in the internet that are going to be huge. All of that had me intrigued. That surely was something I did not want to miss out on.

So there I was listening to the information. Joining Jack Humphrey were Mark Braunstein from vTribes, Monica Holbrook and Benjamin Prater. They started off by talking about how small businesses are looking for an alternative for Yellow Pages advertising and about how Google just has not really captured the local area advertising market.

Next they had Benjamin talk about Apple Iphone applications and how these may be used along with geo-targeting to help people find local information as they are out shopping or wanting some food. All this sounded interesting. They also talked about something called Cloud computing, you can look it up on wikipedia if you don’t know what that is.

During all this time the speakers went on to say we are here to teach you about the trends of the future and we are not selling any internet widgets or stuff like that. After having me all excited and thinking wow this is great information out comes what they were really wanting to talk about.

Presenting DNA!! What are you talking about you might say, isn’t DNA that scientific stuff? No. In this case it is the Directory Network Association. There is a website that explains more. I will have a link to this tomorrow.

This is a network of sites that will have an address such as http://directoryoflongbeach.com. You can check out that site to see an example site. This is a site that has all sorts of information about Long Beach in California. The aim of the site is to attract local advertisers so that they can connect with people wanting information about businesses in that city. It all sounds great but when you are expecting a pitch free call the bit that came next was a bit surprising.

They announced that they have bought up the directoryofcityname sites for all of the major US cities and also many foreign travel destinations or cities and for $3000 or $5000 for the more popular locations such as New York, Chicago and Los Angeles you can buy a domain that gets you in on the network. The sale of these domains takes place next Tuesday.

It was interesting that during the call you could see other cities around the world being snapped up using the domain name of directoryofcityname. My city of Canberra was available when I first looked but by the time my stupid internet connection stuffed around and connected me to my domain buying site it was gone.

If you think this sounds good and you are interested in learning more check back tomorrow as I will have a link to the site that has all the information.

For me I would love to be part of the network but the price keeps me out of it. I just have to say for a no pitch webinar it is funny how it turned out. A $3000 opportunity is hardly a no pitch kind of thing. The bad thing about all of this is that it looks like being something huge, at least if they can pull it off. Time will tell.

Don’t forget to come back tomorrow if you are wanting more information.

Hi there. I have been a way for a while from my blog. I went to Beijing for all of August and before that I was working on a project that was related to the Olympics. I was trying to cash in on my time in Beijing however not being able to access all of my sites while I was over there threw a spanner in the works.

This site was one that I could not access. I put it down to the host I am using. All of the sites hosted by the company I use for this site could not be accessed while another set of sites were fine. As I have shared hosting I assume there is something on some site that shares my host that has offended the Chinese.

Going to Beijing was great, although I really must learn Chinese to add to the experience. As I could not speak the local language I could not get a good grip on just how the Chinese were getting into the Olympic experience. Compared with the Sydney Olympics it seemed the grumpy Olympics. The security was over the top and also the language barrier did not help.

I can’t say the Chinese are not friendly or fun loving people, it was just the organisers took security a bit too seriously.

Now that I am back at home base I have been thinking what do I want to focus on nowadays. When I went away to Beijing I was planning on getting stuck into learning Camtasia and video editing in general. The Olympics got in the way of that as I spent time watching all the exciting sporting stuff. Also getting out and seeing the city took time.

After I got back I took a few weeks off as my family and I settled back into life in Canberra. After Beijing it was so quiet here.

It now seems that the economic troubles hitting the US will come into play all around the world. It is amazing to see such huge losses take place. My father keeps telling me about the business practices that the captains of industry in the USA follow and it is no surprise that the current mess came about.

From what he says there has been too many people just doing too many things the wrong way. Speaking about that how many of you out there are trying to start a home business to earn some extra cash during the bad times or to improve your living standard? If that is you do you have a plan that shows where you are heading and steps you through each day.

I have recently come to the realization that it is a lack of a plan that has seen me go nowhere in the internet world. I am too busy being busy doing nothing constructive. I do a bit here a bit there all without a real game plan. Does that sound like you?

I am currently in the middle of a free course called 16 steps to success. It has great content and the guy teaching the course points out that the main reason for failure is not following a detailed plan as well as not doing the right market research at the start of a project. It is all good stuff so far. I have just got to get myself organised and map out my business.

It is good to be back.

My wife is from China, as a result we have satellite tv to allow her to watch tv from China here in Australia.

I have just been watching a rescue story that unfortunately had an unhappy ending. A team worked for hours to get someone out of a pile of rubble.

This guy was about 27 and has a pregnant wife. The rescue team finally got him free, he was alive and out. It looked like there was to be a happy ending. Sadly he passed away not long after.

Watching the footage is truely heartbreaking. In other stories I saw tonight I heard about small towns of around 10 000 people. Only 2 500 survived the earthquake.

So many schools were destroyed and the precious kids inside have been trapped. Now all that is left is to remove the bodies.

I am trying to do my bit to help in any way I can. I am selling the Stacker Formula by Eric Louviere.

50 percent of my commission will be going to the earthquake appeal.

This is not just a sales ploy. I would feel too guilty. It is my way of trying to help the thousands upon thousands of Chinese affected by the earthquake.

If you feel that you can help and want some solid information to get going in internet marketing please take the time to look over the Stacker Formula. I just wish I was a mega important internet marketer with a super responsive list and I could get to more people.

If you read this and you have a list I would appreciate if you can spread the word.

all the best
