“Just Tell Market Samurai it Exists and You Can Track It”, will this go down as a phrase that becomes part of everyday talk for anyone who has one or more websites?
I have been using Market Samurai for one year now. I was first made aware of the software during the 2008 Thirty Day Challenge. Back then it promised a lot but most of the features were still under development. The main feature that did work was the Keyword Research tool. It was great and I have used it extensively since then.
Fast forward a year and many of the features listed on the interface have been implemented. These include SEO competition, Promotion, Find Content and Rank Tracker.
The Rank Tracker is an exciting one and relates to the title of this post. You can just enter your websites url or a page you wish to track along with the keywords you need to track and the Samurai does all the heavy lifting for you. This feature alone would make the software worth it.
Once you have entered the required information the Market Samurai Rank Tracker tells you when your site gets indexed. You can also see a history of the rankings over time. This can be valuable when combining your marketing efforts with the reports. The more you know about what influences you rankings the more time you can spend promoting the right way.
Rank Tracker does a whole lot more. Through the Thirty Day Challenge you can learn all about it.
Did you know that right now the 2009 Thirty Day Challenge is in full swing? What has this got to do with Market Samurai you may ask. It means 40 day trial for you. Not only do you get some awesome free training but you can get a fully functioning version of MS for a trial.
The Thirty Day Challenge training has reached day 10 but it is not too late to join in with thousands of marketers from around the world. It does not matter what your interest there is something you are bound to learn that will assist you marketing a website.

Today my little girl had her stitches out. Last Saturday the poor thing got hit by something that fell off our bench and she ended up with a huge cut on her forehead and 4 stitches. She was braver than me at the time she was getting the stitches. The sight of the needle going in made me feel a bit squeamish.
Back to my post from the other day. Just what did I do to get ranked on page one of Google for the search phrase “Discount Outdoor Patio Furniture” in under a week? I can quickly tell you that it involved setting up my Squidoo page and then doing some blogging. It is not just any old blogging either. Before I even setup the Squidoo page I had to do careful keyword research. This is the key to ensure you are targeting keywords that you have a chance to rank for and also provide enough traffic to make it worthwhile.
I checked my search ranking again just a few moments ago and I am sitting at number 10 in the results. I also have had 90 visitors to my site. It may not sound like many but when you think that I got this site up and running just over a week ago that is pretty good. I have dropped from 6 to 10 since yesterday but that is probably as I did not do my blogging yesterday.
The program that has helped me do all this is Dan Raine’s Immediate Edge. Dan Raine works with Ed Dale to put together what has turned out to be some great training. You may have heard of Ed, he is a new faculty member over at Stompernet. If you want to find out more about the hot new method of ranking on google you can join the Immediate Edge for just $1. This gives you a 14 day test run. For just $1 you are mad if you do not take a look.
I must give a warning at this stage. Following the methods taught in the Immediate Edge does take some effort. You actually need to do some work to make things happen but I think you will find it well worthwhile.
That’s all for today.
p.s. I am participating in the 117 Software Goodies Give-away promotion. You can grab yourself some great products all for fr.ee.
If you are interesting head over to Software Goodies.

I am not talking just ranking in Google, I am talking being ranked on page 1 on Google for my search phrase.
Recently I have been following some training that shows how to get ranked quickly in Google. You know the type. “Do this and you will be no.1 on Google before you know it”.
I have implemented what is in the training and to my amazement I have achieved a number six ranking on Google for the search phrase Discount Outdoor Patio Furniture. You may be wondering how long did this take. Well… I setup the site on May 9. Did nothing for two days and then on May 11 I wrote a few blog articles. On May 12 I wrote some more. These articles were not even that long.
And then bang there I was ranked on Google. Three days and I was at number 15 out of 1 300 000 web sites. The next day I was sitting at number 6. How did I do all this? Come back tomorrow and I will let you in on a secret…
ps. None of this involved video.
