I decided I had enough of that and got into some courses to improve my skills. Now I think I can say that the videos I produce are a much higher standard. Still could be better but it takes time to become really proficient.

Now my focus is helping small businesses grow themselves through video marketing and mobile marketing. On the mobile marketing side I am learning from Dan Hollings. He is the man behind the marketing of “The Secret” movie. That was huge and all came from a low budget strategy.

I could not ask for a better teacher. Dan knows his stuff. I now just need to apply what I am learning. Now I just need some businesses looking to grow.

I am primarily interested in working with Canberra businesses but with the nature of the internet it allows me to help any business anywhere, well almost. English speaking and with an internet connection is probably more accurate.

What can I do for you? That is probably what you may be wondering. The answer is I can help you get ranked on page one for google for your business. Maybe you want to be the celebrity in your field, I can help what that as well.

On top of video promotion methods I can integrate mobile marketing strategies, or just go mobile.

Lately you may have heard about Mike Koenigs Main Street Marketing Machines, if not visit his site with this link. This is a product aimed at turning someone who has some knowledge about internet marketing into an expert marketer. Armed with this knowledge they provide marketing services to small businesses.

This is much the same as an earlier product from Kevin Wilke of Nitro Marketing. His program was Local Business Money Machine. I actually purchased this product however it did not give me what I wanted. It was a comprehensive program however did not give me enough confidence to go out to businesses, especially here in Australia.

What was missing from the Local Business Money Machine course was the actual hands on items such as templates to use for customers to create sites and other promotional methods. Also finding clients was not something I had confidence in doing based on what was in the course.

I was also concerned that the Local Business Money Machine product was too US centric. I felt my needs as an Australian were not catered for.

Now looking at what I have seen so far of Mike Koenigs Main Street Marketing Machines product he addressed my main concern in the latest video, “Will it work for someone not in the US?” He said an absolute yes. In some situation it might be even easier to do well with the system when applied outside of the USA.

Also as part of the system are templates galore for setting up sites or creating videos to use in promotions. If done right this can potentially turn a lousy day into a great one for a small restaurant.

I have to say this product has got me excited. In the past internet products have focused on creating lists, creating your own products or tricking the search engines.

Mike’s product will help you market for real businesses. There are millions out there. Most are so busy just running the business that they don’t know about efficient marketing or even any marketing at all.

It was a sensational autumn day in Canberra. Sunny, a slight chill in the air and no wind. Off I went with my german shepherd puppy, Lulu. We went running for 40 minutes, at least walking and running.

Later I grabbed my bike and went for a ride, once again it was so good to be out and about. I combined the ride with a bit of work. I was taking photos for my gungahlinbusinessdirectory.com.au website that I have established recently.

The project is something to hold me accountable. I want to help others and make a difference. Sure you could say I am just wanting to get setup with a nice video editing studio but the main thing is I want to have something to push me to achieve.

This all came about thanks to Tellman Knudson and his information about crowd funding. It got me inspired to attempt to help out others through this model.

So far I have managed to get the pitch post using demo software but I can only do that for so long… Tying this to a project using the crowd funding makes sure that if there are enough good people out there to support me I will have to follow through and live up to what I am promising in the video.

The truth is that it is not always a big thing to be on page one for google, even if the search term appears to be competitive. If you do this seach maybe my site http://onemansportsnetwork.com will show in the results.

When I do the search my site is listed at number 9. Pretty good I thought when I first saw that result. Now for the bad news. I checked in the google keyword tool and that search phrase only attracts around 260 searches per month globally.

So there you have it. When targeting a search phrase to go after at least make sure you check the figures in a keyword tool before doing all of you hard work to target the phrase.

Since I first went after the above keyword phrase I have found a new way to keyword research. I first came across this method during Ed Dale’s 30 Day Challenge. The secret weapon in that was Market Samurai.

Market Samurai has become a favorite for may people that need to do keyword research. It shows you what keywords get good traffic but don’t have so much competition. This is the key to success with SEO, well at least one of them.

Getting back to the first video you will be amazed by the production quality, well at least I was. It is maybe too good as he is trying to convince people that are too scared to even think about getting into video that this is something we call all do.

The point Andy is trying to make is that getting rankings in Google using video is a heck of a lot easier than going the traditional SEO path.

Getting back to Andy. He is putting out a course that is all about creating killer videos. He knows a bit about this having created many engaging videos over the years.

That is one course I would love to get my hands on as I am sick of making videos that get crap ratings on Youtube, alas it is out of my price range… At least there will be a killer launch that will dish out plenty of good quality free content.
