How to rank on Google…
Today my little girl had her stitches out. Last Saturday the poor thing got hit by something that fell off our bench and she ended up with a huge cut on her forehead and 4 stitches. She was braver than me at the time she was getting the stitches. The sight of the needle going in made me feel a bit squeamish.
Back to my post from the other day. Just what did I do to get ranked on page one of Google for the search phrase “Discount Outdoor Patio Furniture” in under a week? I can quickly tell you that it involved setting up my Squidoo page and then doing some blogging. It is not just any old blogging either. Before I even setup the Squidoo page I had to do careful keyword research. This is the key to ensure you are targeting keywords that you have a chance to rank for and also provide enough traffic to make it worthwhile.
I checked my search ranking again just a few moments ago and I am sitting at number 10 in the results. I also have had 90 visitors to my site. It may not sound like many but when you think that I got this site up and running just over a week ago that is pretty good. I have dropped from 6 to 10 since yesterday but that is probably as I did not do my blogging yesterday.
The program that has helped me do all this is Dan Raine’s Immediate Edge. Dan Raine works with Ed Dale to put together what has turned out to be some great training. You may have heard of Ed, he is a new faculty member over at Stompernet. If you want to find out more about the hot new method of ranking on google you can join the Immediate Edge for just $1. This gives you a 14 day test run. For just $1 you are mad if you do not take a look.
I must give a warning at this stage. Following the methods taught in the Immediate Edge does take some effort. You actually need to do some work to make things happen but I think you will find it well worthwhile.
That’s all for today.
